Installation Intercooler Cooling & Electrical Blow Off Steering
Here’s described the installation of a intercooler cooling & electrical blow off steering system. For an even better result in execution and end result, it was especially paid attention to some details.
First system:
Because the body cleaning, there’s no longer needed the headlight cleaning system. Therefore, we have the system used for a water cooling of the intercooler, and it’s controlled depends the boost pressure. So the water consumption is kept within limits.
Second system:
Electrically switch between OEM blow off valve and the open HKS blow off.
Regulatory strategy:
The HKS blow off valve can be operated alone, or in combination with the water cooling of the intercooler. But in return, the water cooling not alone. The immobilizer diode still flashes as usual. Of course, also at ignition off.
System off / OEM blow off valve active.
System off / OEM blow off valve active. This status is displayed in the instrument cluster with a non-illuminated immobilizer LED.
HKS blow off active, OEM blow off valve inactive & intercooler water cooling off.
HKS blow off active, OEM blow off valve inactive & intercooler water cooling off. This status is displayed in the instrument cluster with a green illuminated immobilizer LED.
Intercooler water cooling on / standby & HKS blow off active, OEM blow off valve inactive.
Intercooler water cooling on / standby & HKS blow off active, OEM blow off valve inactive. This status is displayed in the instrument cluster with a red illuminated immobilizer LED.
Intercooler water cooling active & HKS blow off active, OEM blow off valve inactive. This status is displayed in the instrument cluster with a blue illuminated immobilizer LED.
When the intercooling cooling is activated, the screen wash water or alternatively a water / alcohol mixture is sprayed from the front onto the intercooler. The switch-on and switch-off point can be set independently of each other (hysteresis circuit).
